IPS ki full form Indian Police Service होता है। हम आपको बता दें कि Indian Police में A1 officer यानी की IPS बनने के लिए Civil Service Exam Clear करना होता है। UPSC हर साल इस exam को conduct करती है। हर साल लाखों candidates इस exam में हिस्सा लेते है, लेकिन सिर्फ़ कुच्छ लोगों का ही final में selection होता है। इसलिए अगर आप IPS बनना चाहते है तो कड़ी मेहनत के लिए तैयार हो जाइए.
बहुत से friends इस बात से confuse है कि IAS और IPS में क्या फर्क है। हम आपको बताते है IAS (Indian Administrative Services) आपको जो जॉब सेक्टर ऑफर करता है, वो DC (Deputy Collector) और DM (Deputy Magistrate) और IPS आपको police sector में job offer करता है.

IPS बनना कोई मुश्किल काम नहीं है, मुश्किल तो इस लाइफ में कुच्छ है भी नही। अगर आप में जूनून है और आप ज़िगर के साथ अपने काम को करते हो तो कोई भी काम मुश्किल नहीं है। Self confidence रखना बहुत ज़रूरी होता है। इप्स बनने के लिए आपको hard work, Stamina और physical fitness जैस Running की ज़रूरत होती है।
IPS Officer किस Department के लिए काम करती है ?
इप्स ऑफीसर स्टेट और सेंट्रल गवर्नमेंट दोनों के लिए काम करता है, लेकिन दोनों में उसकी सर्विस अलग होती है। Central Government में एक IPS officer, CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), BSF (Border Security Force), CBI (central Bureau of Investigation) RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) इत्यादि के लिए. जब कभी भी हमारे country में कोई परेशानी आती है तो सबसे पहले BSF जवान आते है उसके बाद IPS और फिर Army।
Age Limit – आयु सीमा:
IPS Officer बनने के लिए आपकी 21-30 साल के बीच होनी चाहिए। वही एससी / एसटी श्रेणी के उम्मीदवारों को 5 साल की छूट दी जाती है।
Nationality:
Indian/Nepal/Bhutan के ग्रेजुएट उम्मीदवार IPS exam में बैठ सकते हैं यानि आप भारत के नागरिक होने चाहिए।
Qualification:
IPS बनने के लिए candidate के पास Bachelor’s Degree होनी जरूरी है। 12th के बाद आप किसी भी सब्जेक्ट/ स्ट्रीम से ग्रेजुएट होने चाहिए। Arts, Commerce, Science के students आईपीएस का exam दे सकते हैं।
IPS ke Liye Physical Requirements
अब हम आपको बताते हैं कि आईपीएस जवान बनाने के लिए आपको शारीरिक रूप से क्या-क्या जरूरत होती है।
Height-लम्बाई:
पुरुष/Male candidate की Height कम से कम 165 CM होनी चाहिए। 160 CM के SC/ST candidate भी apply कर सकते है। वही महिला/female condidate 150 CM होनी चाहिए. 145 CM की SC/ST महिला condidate भी अप्लाइ कर सकती है।
Chest:
Male candidate की कम से कम 84 CM और महिलाओं की कम से कम 79 cm होनी चाहिए।
Eyesight:
स्वस्थ आंखों का vision 6/6 या 6/9 होना चाहिए. कमजोर आंखों का vision 6/12 or 6/9 होना चाहिए.
Ear:
1000 से 4000 frequency hearing impairment 30 decibels से अधिक नहीं होनी चाहिए। आपको अच्छे से सुनाई देना चाहिए।
UPSC Examination Pattern:
IAS, IFS, IPS, IRS या और Government पदों की नियुक्ति के लिए UPSC के द्वारा आयोजित CIVIL EXAM clear करना होता है. इस exam के दो steps होते है: 1. Preliminary Exam (Prelims) 2. Main Exam
1. UPSC Preliminary Exam (Prelims)
- Prelims exams 200 marks के दो papers होते हैं जिनका total 400 marks का होता है।
- दोनों question papers Objective type questions (Multiple Choice Questions) होते हैं।
- दोनों question papers 2-2 घंटे के होते हैं।
- Question papers Hindi और English दोनों language में होता है।
- Blind candidates के लिए 20 मिनट extra दिए जाते हैं।
Prelims Exams Syllabus:
Paper 1: 200 marks के इस exam में National और International Current Affairs, Indian History और भारतिय राष्ट्रीय आंदोलन, India और World का Geography (भूगोल), Indian Monarchy (भारतीय राजतन्त्र) और Govern-mans ( सविधान, Political system, पंचायती राज, Public Policy), आर्थिक और सामाजिक विकास (Sustainable Development, ग़रीबी, Populations), Environment Ecology, overcapacity, Climate change और Gk (General Knowledge) Science जैसे subjects से objective questions पूछे जाते है। इस एग्ज़ॅम को आपको 2 hours मे पूरा करना होता है।
Paper 2: 200 Marks के इस paper में Comprehensions, Interpersonal Skills, Logical Reasoning और Analytical Ability, Decision Making और Problem Solving, General Mental Ability, Basic Numerous और Data Interpretation (Chart, Graph, Table) से related Questions पूछे जाते है। इस पेपर को पूरा करने के लिए भी आपको 2 घंटे ही मिलते हैं।
2. UPSC Main Exam
Civil Services के main exam में लिखित परीक्षा और इंटरव्यू शामिल है। लिखित परीक्षा में पूरे 9 papers होते है, जिनमें 2 qualifying papers (A और B) और 7 अन्य मेरिट के लिए हैं:

Interview
Main exam clear करने के बाद Candidate को personal Interview round के लिए बुलाया जाता है। यह Interview 45 Minute का होता है। Candidate का Interview एक panel के सामने होता है। Interview के बाद merit list तैयार की जाती है। merit list बनाते टाइम Qualifying paper के नंबर जोड़े जाते है।
UPSC exam clear करने के अलावा state PSC exam पास करके भी IPS office बना जा सकता है। State level exal पास करने के बाद SP बनने मे 8 से 10 साल का time लगता है।
Job Training
Selected candidate को 1 साल की training के लिए पहले मंसूरी फिर हैदराबाद भेजा जाता है। भावी police अधिकारियो को Indian Penal Code, Special Law और Criminology की training दी जाती है। Officers को Physical Training भी दी जाती है।
